1) What is an Aperture?
The aperture is an opening (a hole or a gap) formed inside the camera lens by the blades of the shutter. A camera aperture works much like the iris of the eye, widening or constricting to control the amount of light hitting the light sensor. The aperture setting controls how much light can enter the camera at a given setting.
